Based in Barto, PA, the National Centre for Padre Pio is dedicated to spreading awareness and devotion to St. Pio of Pietrelcina. It was established in 1971 by Harry and Vera Calandra in thanksgiving for Padre Pio’s intercession on behalf of their daughter, Vera Marie. Today it is the site of a large museum as well as a church and beautiful gardens.
